GTrends Checker
Here is my first version of the Google Trends Checker, aka the GTrends Checker, that Ed Dale showed us a few days ago. I convinced my good friend Inman, to make this tool, and after a couple of days of me bugging him, he has done it.
As you might have guessed, this tool uses the MYI keyword to check the traffic for the other keywords that you enter. The features are as follows.
- Check upto 20 keywords at a time
- Automatically checks both broad and phrase match for all keywords
- Returns the approx visits from Google Trends
- Checks Google for the unique and the total number of searches (listen to Ed’s podcast & see the screenshots)
- Exports the selected keywords to a text file
- Gorgeous interface, if i do say so myself :p
- Runs only on Windows with Internet Explorer (Sorry Ed, maybe you can use Parallels or Vmware Fusion)
And this is all available for the incredible price of $0, zip, nada. All you have to do is to register in this site and find the download link in this post.
Here are some screenshots in case you want more convincing

You should find the register link in the home page of the blog.

Look forward to checking out your new tool! Much easier to do in batches rather than 1 at a time!

thank You!

No problems. Just make sure to check the results once in a while in IE directly.
I have also found that firefox and IE give different results for the same search term, but there is not much i can do about it.

Very nice! Very cool!
However, you could eliminate the broad match searches and the uniques. I know Ed talked about the uniques in the video but that was an aside of no value to anyone. See the forum stickies posted by Caro where she shouts out IGNORE THE UNIQUES!!!
Thanks for this. Keep up the great work.
Lorne.

Its simple enough to eliminate the broad match keyword check. Maybe i can put that as an option.
Just trying out our google parsing skills.
As for the uniques and the totals, that was just a bonus
Next version will probably have
That should be quite do-able.

Hi Srijit!
Just got a chance to download GTrends Checker - very nice! I hope you and Inman will continue to develop it, you’ll have a terrific product on your hands!
If I can get out from under some run-away projects this weekend, I’ll put something up on the blog and in the newsletter.
Oh, and thanks for the blogroll listing!

New version is ready to roll out in an hour

Its pretty useful to see how much traffic google can bring in if you are in positions 1 or 2 for your keyword phrase
